Janhvi Sharma.jpg

Being from Udaipur - a city with rich historical tales of Mewar, Janhvi Sharma since her childhood had a keen interest in history, folk art and culture. She aspires to proliferate knowledge about history and make people aware of their rich cultural heritage. She believes our ‘Virasat’ is our ‘Pride’ and it tells us from where we came from.

She has a bachelor degree in History Honors from Maitreyi College, Delhi University and has masters in Archaeology and Heritage Management from DIHRM, IP University. Her interest in history became more intact after studying Archaeology. It also gave her an insight of various aspects of Heritage Management such as Tourism, Architecture, Museology and Cultural Heritage.

Presently she works as Coordinator, Heritage Walks at Mahira Foundation. According to her, heritage walks are an innovative way to reach people and create awareness about the sites which are becoming a faded memory. They are the essence of history and forlorn cultural practices and traditions which need to be protected and promoted.
