Delhi Youth Welfare Association was registered in 1990 as non-profit organization by group of young professional in the city of Shahjahanabad. DYWA grew in terms of its functions and activities, which now became more organised and goal-oriented. It started off with assisting widows financially and helping them to avail free healthcare by getting their cards issued. They also conducted blanket distribution drives during winters for the homeless.
